Entertaining & Educating Your Clients

In business referral clubs, members are trained to make their sales pitches both educational and entertaining. If you are able to make your audience laugh or give them some inspiring information that adds value to their lives or business, they will be open to listening to you. So many business people fail to make an impact when they start talking about their products or services without giving anything to their audience first. City folk are bombarded with thousands of advertising messages daily and have a very low tolerance level to sales pitches that are not congruent with their needs and interests. So, once you have identified the needs and interests of your audience, or target market, you need to decide how you could entertain or educate them ...remembering that this is just the knock on the door that means that you have someone willing to listen to you....it is just the first step in potentially doing business with someone and if you have added value and not wasted their time in listening to you, they may be prepared to listen to you again, and again......I would be so bold as to suggest that you might as well forget about talking about your products or services until you have gained the trust of your audience. So instead of asking yourself "what can I sell today?" ask yourself "what can I offer today?"
