220204 The Power of Expanding your Comfort Zone One of the points that Martin Boothe, (choreographer and personal trainer) was making in his class was to stress the importance of constantly expanding our comfort zones….we need to be constantly stretching our muscles to maintain flexibility and youthfulness….it is easy to get into our rigid comfort zones until we are made aware of our limitations…..like when you’re the only one who runs out of breath after 2 minutes stretching J Stretching to make our muscles more flexible is similar to stretching in the different aspects of our lives…emotional, intellectual, spiritual…..coaching provides a mirror for you to be able to see where you are and provides the stimulus for you to stretch by taking slightly uncomfortable actions that require effort and result in growth. Without the stimulus and regular exercise, even a champion athlete can get rigid and stiff. A couple of years ago, I joined a business networking organisation which on average had about 25 members….now I am managing my own personal network of local business people and entrepreneurs in Ealing which already has 220 members since I started it a few years ago…..(if you are a Londoner, click on this link to join Ealing Business Mastermind the club is expanding daily and with it, the size of my sphere of influence….connections are very powerful and I’m just imitating what the most successful people around me are doing ….building up a network of influential movers & shakers!J What are YOU doing on a DAILY basis to expand your comfort zone in the most important aspects of your life: relationships, family, work, health, finances, connections….record your successes in a daily journal so you can pat yourself on the back when you look back in pride J |
