150804a The Power of Decisions I was excited about telling you that I have lost almost 5 pounds (2kg) over the past week by just reminding myself and my body of ONE tip from Paul McKenna: "I am not preparing for a famine!" JJ Can ONE shift in attitude really make such a powerful difference?! Paul had said that in order to re-programme our mind and body, we need to leave some of our food on the plate....like even just a bean or something, rather than wiping the plate clean. So most days I have left at least a couple of peas and sometimes a few potatoes on my plate to throw away and assure my mind that there isn't a famine going on (well, not in London anyway! fortunately!) Did I really lose 2 kg by throwing away a few peas & potatoes from my plate however? When I started to think about it I realised that Paul McKenna being the remarkable teacher that he is had made it seem as simple as telling our bodies a different story although he had in fact ALSO said to "avoid sugar at all costs", "put your fork DOWN between mouthfuls!" "Enjoy what you are eating and stop when you are no longer enjoying it" I realised that the power of my decision to change just ONE thought, had had a knock on effect in changing my behaviour in several ways without even thinking about it consciously. I haven't had "diet coke" for a week....it's really funny how people believe that drinking "diet" coke might make them thinner! :JJ , I haven't eaten cakes & biscuits although they have been offered to me in abundance, and I have PUT my fork DOWN in between mouthfuls! JJ Make just ONE beneficial decision every day and see how your behaviour just unconsciously changes in all kinds of manners. |
